Welcome to Maldives
The world famous island nation consists of 1190 islands. Comprising of natural atolls surrounded by live coral reef and crystal clear water. Coconut palms and various tropical plants show its greenery. Thought the Maldives straddle the equator it has a tropical climate, the south west monsoon (Hulhangu Moosum) bring most of the rain, mostly around June and July. Normally the Skies are clear in north east monsoon (Iruvai Moosum) however mostly the weather is fine. The Maldives is a Member of the United Nation, The Common Wealth and Non Aligned Movement. Independent since 1965 and became a republic 1965. The country has a cordial relation ship with the international community.
